Alaina Rodriguez CEO of My Happy Yoga Place, and certified yoga teacher will lead participants through an hour-long, all-levels sunset yin yoga class in the tranquil beautiful grounds at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood MD. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods, typically 3-5 minutes, to deeply stretch the connective tissues and promote relaxation. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Greenwell Foundation, enabling them to continue their vital work serving individuals of all abilities in the Southern Maryland community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. The event will begin promptly at 6:00pm.
You will need to check in with the staff.
Bring your own yoga mat. Yoga mats will NOT be provided.
It is encouraged that you bring a blanket to cover the grass and place your yoga mat on top of that.
You can perform yoga barefooted. However, please note that this event is being conducted in a grassy knoll.
Bring your own water. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted under any circumstances.
